An MIT graduate with multiple degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Heidi has been a patent attorney in Israel and a US patent agent for 36 years. Heidi has written patents in all the high-tech fields. She specializes in turning complicated concepts and highly mathematical ideas into readily understandable patent applications.

She is an expert at working with inventors. Their visions are often complex, full of jargon, and poorly explained. Heidi and her team of patent writers and draftsmen turns these sketches into elegant and defensible patent applications. Heidi has helped many clients, large and small, to manage their patent portfolios as well as to budget them. Over the years, Heidi has worked with a large segment of the Israeli high-tech field. She has written patent applications for Wix, GSI Technologies, UltraSight, One Smart Star, SodaStream, Given Imaging, IBM, VocalTec, Scitex and dozens of other success stories.

Heidi has also trained numerous Israeli patent attorneys. Her students have gone on to illustrious careers in-house at firms of all sizes; at large law firms; and creating their own successful patent practices.

In 2002, Heidi opened Heidi Brun Associates as a boutique patent firm, specializing in generating high quality patents. In 2011, she merged Heidi Brun Associates with Eitan, Mehulal and Sadot, becoming head of their Strategic Patent Department. In 2017, she returned to Heidi Brun Associates once again, to build a boutique patent firm.
